On the Ten Celestial Stems and Twelve Earthly Branches - 14

Original Text

Interpretation

If in winter, the metal element represents the official position in the Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny), and the injury element is transformed into the wealth element, it is considered extremely excellent and noble. For example, in the case of Bing Shen, Ji Hai, Xin Wei, Ji Hai, this was the Bazi of Prime Minister Zheng.

However, there are also cases where there is an official star without the presence of metal or water. Why is that? When the hurting officer is transformed into wealth, the hurting officer is no longer a negative factor. It is regarded as the prosperous wealth generating the official star, rather than the hurting officer confronting the official star. For example, in the case of the birth chart with the year pillar of Jiazi, the month pillar of Renshen, the day pillar of Jihai, and the hour pillar of Xinwei, it was the birth chart of Prime Minister Zhang.

As for the situation where the Hurting Officer and both the Official and the Seven Killings are revealed in the Heavenly Stems, as long as the elements in the Heavenly Stems are clearly distinguished, it is also considered clear when it occurs in the Metal - Water combination. Otherwise, it is just an empty framework.

When determining the fortune for a person with the "Hurting Officer" (a term in Chinese fortune - telling theory) pattern, we should analyze and match it according to the specific situation formed by the "Hurting Officer". If the "Hurting Officer" is combined with wealth, and the wealth is strong while the self - element is weak, then the fortune of the Seal and the Peer is beneficial. If the self - element is strong and the wealth is scarce, then the fortune of wealth is favorable, and the fortune of the "Hurting Officer" is also appropriate.

When the Hurting Officer is paired with the Seal, it is advisable for the luck cycle to be in the Officer and Seven Killings phase. The Seal luck cycle is also auspicious. The Hurting Officer and Eating God phases do not pose obstacles, but the Wealth phase is inauspicious.

When there is the damage to the official and at the same time the wealth and the seal are used, for those with more wealth and also having a seal, the favorable luck in the fortune is to support the seal; for those with more seals and also having wealth, the favorable luck in the fortune is to support the wealth.

When one has the "Hurting Officer" configuration and uses the "Killing God" and "Seal", the period of the "Seal" is the most favorable. The periods of "Hurting Officer" and "Eating God" are also prosperous. Having a mixed "Official" is not auspicious, and encountering the "Wealth" brings danger.

When the Hurting Officer is accompanied by the Seven Killings, it is favorable to have the Seal and unfavorable to have the Wealth. However, when the Hurting Officer is strong and the Seven Killings are weak, it is auspicious to have the Seal in the fortune, and the Wealth can also be favorable. Only when the roots of the Seven Killings are strong, it is auspicious to have the Hurting and Eating Gods in the fortune. It is also auspicious to have the Seal when the Body is strong, but encountering the Wealth is inauspicious.

When using an official star with an offensive god, favorable luck periods are those with wealth and seal stars, while unfavorable ones are those with food and offensive gods. If the official star is revealed in the chart and both the wealth and seal stars are strong, then the comparison and robbery stars as well as the offensive god may not necessarily be inauspicious.

The Yang Blade is the god that seizes one's proper wealth. It is the Seven Killings of proper wealth. It is the position one step ahead of the Heavenly Stem's prosperity (Lu). Only the five Yang Heavenly Stems have it, so it is called the Yang Blade. It is called "Blade" instead of "Robber" because it is an extreme form of robbing. The Yang Blade should be subdued and controlled. Both the Proper Officer and the Seven Killings are suitable for this purpose. When Wealth and Seal accompany it, it is especially auspicious and noble. It is wonderful for the Proper Officer to be accompanied by Wealth and Seal. But why is it even better for the Seven Killings? One should know that in other configurations, the Seven Killings can harm the body, so one likes to subdue and control them and dislikes Wealth and Seal. However, when using the Yang Blade, the Seven Killings are relied upon to control the Blade and are not feared for harming the body. Therefore, one actually likes Wealth and Seal and dislikes excessive control.

When using an official (in Bazi, a certain element relationship) with a Yang Blade, there's no need to worry even if the Yang Blade is revealed. When a Seven Kill (another element relationship) is revealed with a Yang Blade, revealing the Yang Blade leads to no success. This is because the official can restrain the Yang Blade, so its revelation doesn't cause harm. But the Yang Blade can combine with the Seven Kill, so what merit can the Seven Kill have? For example, if a person is born in the month of Wu (in the Chinese lunar calendar) with Bing as the Day Master, and Ren is revealed to restrain the Yang Blade, but then Ding is also revealed. Since Ding combines with Ren, the Seven Kill has the intention of being greedy for the combination and forgetting to restrain, so how can it restrain the Yang Blade? Therefore, there is no merit.

However, although it is the same situation where official and killing stars control the sharp blade, the ranks of the patterns also vary. For example, if the official and killing stars are revealed and have deep roots, the nobility is great; if the official and killing stars are hidden and not revealed, or are revealed but with shallow roots, the nobility is small. For instance, in the case of Jiyou, Bingzi, Renyin, and Bingwu, the official star is clearly revealed and powerful, and is nourished by strong wealth stars. This is the horoscope of a prime - minister. Also, for Xinyou, Jiawu, Bingshen, and Renchen, the killing star is revealed but has shallow roots, and is assisted by wealth and seal stars. This is also the horoscope of a prime - minister.

However, there are also those who are noble with the pattern of official and seven - kill restraining the yang blade and accompanied by food - god and injury - officer. Why is that? It may be because of the protection of the seal, or because the seven - kill is too strong and needs to be reduced, or the official and seven - kill are weak and need to be purified. For example, in the birth chart of Magistrate Mu, with the stems and branches of jiawu, guiyou, gengyin, and wuyin, the gui water harms the official qi of yin and wu, but the wu combines with it, which is what is called the protection of the seal. Another example is the birth chart of Prime Minister Jia, with the stems and branches of jiayin, gengwu, wushen, and jiayin. The seven - kill appears twice and its roots are too strong, and the food - god restrains it, which is what is called reduction. Take the birth chart of bingxu, dingyou, gengshen, and renwu as an example. The official and seven - kill appear simultaneously, and the ren combines with the ding (the official), making the seven - kill pure and unadulterated. Moreover, in the pattern of yang blade, it is beneficial to keep the seven - kill, which is what is called purification.

For those born in the Wu (Horse) month of Bing (Yang Fire) year, there is hidden Ji Earth within, which can control Water. It is especially advisable to have Wealth and Seal in the Bazi. If one is born in the Wu (Horse) month of Wu (Yang Earth) year, with Bing Fire appearing in the Heavenly Stems and the Earthly Branches forming a Fire combination, then the Edge (Yang Blade) is transformed into a Seal. Whether it is an Officer or a Seven Kills, if it appears in the Heavenly Stems, the Edge is removed and the Seal remains, making the Bazi pattern even clearer. However, if both Wealth and Seven Kills appear in the Heavenly Stems, it violates the taboo of removing the Seal and retaining the Seven Kills. This does not fall into the category of generating the Seven Kills or restraining the Seven Kills, and both wealth and honor will be lost.

Moreover, if in the case of Yang Blade with Wealth, this is not favored by the pattern. However, when the roots of Wealth are deep and one uses Hurting Officer and Eating God to transform the Yang Blade to generate Wealth, although it cannot be compared to the patterns of Jianlu and Yuejie for achieving high - ranking official positions, one can still attain wealth. Otherwise, the Yang Blade will clash with the Wealth, and the pattern will not be established.

When using an official star to counteract the Yang Blade, favorable luck periods are those that support the official star. However, if the official star in the birth chart has a deep root, the periods of the seal and the peer stars can also be considered good luck periods. The only thing not desired is the combination of the eating god or the hurting officer with the official star.

When using the Seven Killings in combination with the Yang Blade, if the Seven Killings are not very strong, favorable luck periods are those that help strengthen the Seven Killings. If the Seven Killings are overly strong, favorable luck periods are those that strengthen the self and bring the Seal, and the Eating God and Hurting Officer are not considered inauspicious either.

When the Yang Blade appears along with both the Officer and the Seven Killings, regardless of whether the Officer or the Seven Killings is removed, favorable luck in the fortune is to have them controlled. It is also beneficial when the body (self-element) is strong. However, the fortune in the wealth and Officer sectors is actually inauspicious.

Those with the "Jianlu" configuration refer to those whose month pillar meets the "Lutang" (the place of good fortune). Here, "Lu" is actually the "Jie". Some people think that if "Lutang" is revealed in the heavenly stems, it can be directly used as the key element. This is incorrect. Therefore, "Jianlu" and "Yuejie" can be regarded as the same pattern and there is no need to distinguish them strictly. In both cases, we should determine the use of wealth, official, killing, and food based on the revealed heavenly stems and earthly branches.

When the official star is used in the fortune structure related to official salary, it is remarkable if the official star appears in the heavenly stems. Moreover, it should be accompanied by the wealth star and the seal star, and it is not advisable to have an isolated official star without support. There are cases where the official star is protected by the seal star. For example, in the birth chart of Gengxu, Wuzhi, Guishui, and Guihai, it is the birth chart of Prime Minister Jin. There are also cases where the official star is assisted by the wealth star. For example, in the birth chart of Dingyou, Bingwu, Dingsi, and Renyin, it is the birth chart of Prefect Li.

Those officials who also possess wealth and seal in their horoscopes are said to have the so - called "a strong self encountering the three wonders", which is particularly noble. The three wonders refer to wealth, official position, and seal. As long as the official position separates them so that the wealth and the seal do not harm each other, the horoscope pattern is excellent. For example, in the horoscope of Gengwu, Wuzhi, Guimao, Dingsi, it is the horoscope of Master Wang.

When the rob-wealth star is in the month pillar and wealth is used as the favorable element, the eating-god or the hurting-official stars must be present. Since the rob-wealth star is in the month pillar and wealth is taken as the key element, these two elements are in conflict. Only by using the eating-god or the hurting-official stars to transform can the rob-wealth star be made to generate wealth. For example, in the case of the horoscope with the year pillar Jiazi, the month pillar Bingzi, the day pillar Guichou, and the hour pillar Renchen, it is the horoscope of General Zhang.

As for transforming a calamitous element into wealth and transforming a calamitous element into a life - sustaining one, these are especially auspicious signs. For example, in the case of the combination of Jiwei, Jisi, Dingwei, and Xinchou, Chou and Si form a conjunction. Here, the fire representing the calamitous wealth - robbing element is transformed into the wealth of the metal combination. How can this not lead to great nobility? This is what is called "transforming a calamitous element into wealth". Another example is the horoscope of the noble official Gao, which is Gengzi, Jiashen, Gengzi, and Jiashen. In this case, the metal representing the calamitous wealth - robbing element is transformed into water that can generate wealth. This is what is called "transforming a calamitous element into a life - sustaining one".

When using the Seven Killings in the case of the Wealth and Robbery combination, it must be subdued. For example, in the horoscope of Minister Lou, with the stems and branches being Ding Si, Ren Zi, Gui Mao, and Ji Wei, Ren combines with Ding (Wealth) to remove the elements that support the Seven Killings, and the combination of Mao and Wei forms a bureau to subdue the Seven Killings.

When the use of the Seven Killings is combined with the presence of Wealth, it is generally not considered auspicious. However, if it can eliminate the Seven Killings and retain the Wealth, it can form an auspicious pattern. For the Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) of Wuchen, Guihai, Renwu, and Bingwu, it combines to eliminate the Seven Killings and retain the Wealth. This was the Bazi of Premier Yuan.

In the Bazi system, for the pattern of "Lu Jie" (a specific Bazi pattern). When there is no wealth or official element, using the output element (Shang Shi, which represents output and creativity in Bazi theory) to release the excessive energy is also regarded as a sign of elegance. Only in the case of wood in spring and metal in autumn, using this method can lead to honor. This is because wood becomes bright when combined with fire, and metal becomes spiritual when generating water. For example, in the Bazi of the champion Zhang, it is Jiazi, Bingyin, Jiazi, Bingyin, showing the brightness of wood and fire. Another example is Guimao, Gengshen, Gengzi, Gengchen, indicating the harmonious co - existence of metal and water.
