Wealth Breaking Resource (财破印) is a BaZi Ten God combination in which Wealth Stars and Resource Stars appear together, with Wealth controlling Resource.
When Does Wealth Breaking Resource Form?
Wealth Breaking Resource is identified through the Ten Gods. When both Wealth Stars and Resource Stars appear in a BaZi chart, the chart has the basic Wealth Breaking Resource combination.
However, how strongly it manifests depends on more than simply having both present. Their relative strength, position in the chart, and the involvement of other Ten Gods also matter. If Wealth is strong while Resource lacks support from Companions or Authority Stars, the Wealth-over-Resource dynamic is usually more noticeable.
On the other hand, if Resource is an unfavorable element and Wealth is a useful element, Wealth controlling Resource is not necessarily negative.

The meaning therefore depends not only on whether Wealth Breaking Resource appears, but also on where the Wealth and Resource Stars are located and which side is stronger.
How Can Wealth Breaking Resource Be Balanced?
The key is not to treat Wealth as inherently negative, but to avoid sacrificing long-term learning, career development, or stable support for short-term financial gain.
From a BaZi perspective, Companion Stars can help support the Resource side, while Authority Stars can help regulate the relationship between Wealth and Resource.
