Example

For example, if the birth year Na Yin is Metal and Shen 申 appears in the Month, Day, or Hour Branches, this is usually treated as Literary Hall.

Under the second rule, a Jia 甲 Day Stem with Geng-Yin 庚寅 as the Month, Day, or Hour Pillar also triggers Literary Hall in this calculator.
