Interpretation
On the day of the sixth Geng, if one is born at the time of Ding Chou, the official position is met in an auspicious place but the fire element is too weak.
Those in high positions rely on the smooth flow of power like the elements of wood and fire, but those who can't stand alone are just empty names.
At the Chou hour of the Geng day and Ding month, there is an abundance of metal and a scarcity of fire. For Geng, Ding serves as the official (authority), and Ji serves as the seal (resource). In Chou, the fire energy of Ding is weak, while Ji Earth occupies its proper position. If there is a connection to the months with the energy of wood and fire, and the official and seal encounter growth and prosperity, it indicates nobility. Without such a connection, it is just an empty reputation. If there is a connection to the months of prosperous growth of fire and earth, it implies wealth. Even without such a connection, when favorable circumstances are encountered in the fortune, it can still lead to a certain reputation.
If a person is born at the Chou hour (1 - 3 a.m.) on the Gengzi day, if it is spring or summer, they will have a noble status; if it is autumn, their situation will be ordinary; if it is winter, they will face loneliness and adversity.
On the Gengyin day and Dingchou hour, one will be the top scorer. If born in the months of Yin, Mao, Wu, Wei, or Hai, one will have a refined and noble destiny. When going through the Wu and Wei fortune cycles, one will achieve high status and fame. If the year and month are related to the elements of fire and earth, one will be of noble rank.
On the Gengchen day and Dingchou hour, in the Chou month, one will be wealthy but have a short lifespan. If it is the Ji [situation], one can be a close attendant and achieve great nobility. If one is born in a month with prosperous fire and productive earth, one will be noble; if not, one will also be wealthy and have a good reputation when encountering favorable fortune.
On the day of Gengwu and at the time of Dingchou, if one is connected to the qi of the earth month, they will be noble; if not, they will still be wealthy and well - known.
On the Gengshen day and Dingchou hour, in the Chou month, with the fortune of metal and fire, it indicates the highest level of success. In the Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, and Xu months, both official position and honor are prosperous, which means nobility. In the Shen and You months, the body is overly prosperous, so one needs to experience the fortune of wood and fire. In the Yin and Mao months, wealth is overly prosperous, so one needs to experience the fortune of gold and water. In the Hai and Zi months, it is cold with metal and water, so one needs to experience the fortune of fire and earth to achieve nobility.
On the day of Gengxu and at the hour of Dingchou, in spring, wealth is prosperous; in summer, official luck is strong; in autumn, it is ordinary; in winter, it is weak.
When Geng and Ding are in harmony at the Chou hour, it's like the bright moon shining in the blue sky. Without punishment and conflict, it's truly rare. Wealth and official positions will flourish, and one will live a long life. On a Geng day at the Ding - Chou hour, the proper official position and the treasury of wealth accompany. In the months of Wu, Wei, and Xu, there will be abundant blessings. Geng meets this hour like gold in a treasure chest. Gold becomes a useful utensil when it meets fire, and one will surely have descendants and a prosperous family. One will always be accompanied by songs and wine, and will surely lead a leisurely and contented life.
