The Azure Dragon in a Prostrate Form

Original Text

Interpretation

In traditional Chinese five - element theory, Jia and Yi belong to the Wood element associated with the East. The so - called "Azure Dragon in a Concealed Form" means that the Wood is subdued by the Metal. For example, those born on the days of Jiashen, Jiaxu, Yisi, Yiyou, and Yichou. On these five days, there are wealth and official positions in the earthly branches under the heavenly stems. It is necessary that the month pillar provides support, the official star is well - rooted, and there is no God of Damage. A balance between Metal and Wood is considered a harmonious sign. Some believe that for those born on the Yisi day or hour, it is called "Azure Dragon in a Hidden State", which is said to lead to losses due to excessive drinking and secretly reduce good fortune and longevity. It's okay if one doesn't drink.

The poem goes:

If A and B are in the positions corresponding to the Monkey and Rooster in the zodiac directions, when wood encounters the prosperous spring, it is most auspicious. If the four pillars of the birth chart are assisted by the storage (related to the five - element theory), both wealth and official positions will be excellent and extraordinary.
