此格止有五日：甲寅、丙辰、戊辰、庚辰、壬戌，取甲丙戊庚壬五阳乾，甲坐寅得禄，丙坐辰官库，庚作辰财印两全，壬坐戌三奇俱备。寅为三阳之首，辰戌为魁罡之地，干支异于别位，故名日德也。若合日德，主为人性格慈善，体貌魁梧，有怜贫敬老之心，无毒害克剥之意，逢凶有救，遇难有解，不遭非横，福必丰厚。赋云：日德心善多稳厚，而作事慈祥是也。运临身旺，大是奇绝，若旺气已衰，行遇魁罡必死，或未及发福，格局既好，运至魁罡，必生祸患，一脱乎此，亦能再发，终力微。此格只一位，喜财官，日德重叠，不宜见财官，及刑冲破害，空亡、魁罡会合加临，皆为大忌。
诗曰：
壬戌庚辰日德官，甲寅戊丙要骑龙，运逢身旺心慈善，日德居多福自丰。
又：
日德不喜见魁罡，化成煞曜最难当，局中重见须还吉，运至魁罡福不昌。
又：
日午德重重免祸殃，官星且忌见财乡，更无冲破空亡处，堪作朝中一栋梁。
又：
日德有煞喜身强，不喜财星官旺乡，为性温柔更慈善，一生福寿喜非常。
如张烛运同：甲申、戊辰、戊辰、壬戌，由学官而腰金衣紫，得五品官诰，是此格也。一命庚辰、己卯、戊辰、甲寅，三位日德，作此格论，但甲寅忌见庚辰，运行壬午财乡之地，午中阳刃持权，皆犯日德，所忌丁巳年，寅巳相刑，四月死，寿止三十八，平生性重，亦不慈善，恶疾久缠。
Interpretation
This pattern only has five days: Jiayin, Bingchen, Wuchen, Gengchen, and Renxu. It takes the five yang stems of Jia, Bing, Wu, Geng, and Ren. Jia sits on Yin and gets its prosperity; Bing sits on Chen, which is the treasury of official positions; Geng on Chen has both wealth and seal; Ren on Xu has all three rare elements. Yin is the beginning of the three yangs, and Chen and Xu are the places of the extraordinary and powerful. The stems and branches are different from other positions, so it is named "Day Virtue". If one's birth date conforms to the Day Virtue pattern, it means that the person is kind - hearted, with a magnificent appearance. They have the heart to pity the poor and respect the elderly, and have no intention of harming or exploiting others. When encountering misfortune, they will be rescued; when in trouble, they will find a solution. They will not suffer from unexpected disasters and will surely have abundant blessings. As the poem says: Those with Day Virtue are kind - hearted, steady, and do things with kindness. When the luck is in the prosperous phase of one's life, it is extremely wonderful. However, if the prosperous qi has declined and one encounters the extraordinary and powerful positions in the fortune - telling, they will surely die. Or if they haven't enjoyed good fortune yet, even though the pattern is good, when the fortune reaches the extraordinary and powerful positions, disasters will surely occur. Once getting rid of this situation, they can prosper again, but the final strength will be weak. For this pattern, when there is only one such element, it is favorable to have wealth and official positions. If the Day Virtue elements overlap, it is not suitable to see wealth, official positions, as well as punishments, conflicts, break - ups, and harms. Empty and absent positions, and the combination and encounter of the extraordinary and powerful positions are all great taboos.
The poem goes:
On the Gengchen day of the Renxu year, there is the virtue of the official position. For Jiayin, Wuwu and Bingyin, one should "ride the dragon". When the fortune meets with the prosperity of the self, one will be kind - hearted. With more days of virtue, one's fortune will be abundant.

The days with the Five Elements of Metal and Water don't like to see the Kui Gang combinations. Once they turn into malevolent stars, they are extremely difficult to handle. If they appear repeatedly in the overall situation, it might still be auspicious. However, when one's fortune reaches the stage related to Kui Gang, blessings won't be prosperous.

At noon, with great virtue, one can avoid disasters. When there's an official star, one should beware of the wealth aspect. If there are no breaks or empty deaths, one can be a pillar in the court.

If one has an inauspicious star related to the day and virtue, it's favorable to have a strong physical and spiritual state, and unfavorable to be in the situation where wealth and official positions are prosperous. Such a person has a gentle and kind nature, and will enjoy extremely good fortune and a long life throughout their life.
Take Zhang Zhuyun as an example: His birth date is Jia Shen, Wu Chen, Wu Chen, Ren Xu. He started as an official in the educational system and later wore purple robes with a gold belt, obtaining the official seal of a fifth - rank official. This is an example of this pattern.
