On the Fiendishness of Dark Gold
Original Text
Interpretation
These three inauspicious stars are related to the four clashes in the innate numbers. The numbers corresponding to Zi (Rat) and Wu (Horse) are both nine, those of Mao (Rabbit) and You (Rooster) are both six, with a total of thirty. Starting from Zi and counting forward in sequence, when reaching the number thirty, we arrive at Si (Snake). This is the main inauspicious star among the four middle positions (Zi, Wu, Mao, You). The numbers of Yin (Tiger) and Shen (Monkey) are both seven, and those of Si (Snake) and Hai (Pig) are both four, with a total of twenty - two. Starting from Zi and counting forward, when reaching the number twenty - two, we arrive at You (Rooster). This is the main inauspicious star among the four early positions (Yin, Shen, Si, Hai). The numbers of Chen (Dragon) and Xu (Dog) are both five, and those of Chou (Ox) and Wei (Goat) are both eight, with a total of twenty - six. Starting from Zi and counting forward, when reaching the number twenty - six, we arrive at Chou (Ox). This is the main inauspicious star among the four seasonal positions (Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei). This is how it is determined by numbers. In general, all inauspicious stars are determined by numbers, similar to the lucky stars of Lu and Ma. This inauspicious star has three names: the first is called "Groaning", the second is called "Shattering", and the third is called "White Linen". For Zi, Wu, Mao, and You, the inauspicious star is in Si; for Yin, Shen, Si, and Hai, it is in You; for Chen, Xu, Chou, and Wei, it is in Chou. Si is the place where metal is born. In Si, there is the fire at the prosperous stage. When the qi of metal is suppressed by fire, it mainly brings disasters such as being beaten with a stick, being involved in criminal cases, and groaning in pain. Therefore, it is called "Groaning". You is the place where metal is prosperous. When the inauspicious star is in its prosperous period and is assisted by the Xin metal, everything in its way will be shattered. It mainly brings disasters of being fragmented and bleeding. Therefore, it is called "Shattering". Chou is the tomb of metal. It is located among the four seasons and faces the ghost gate. It mainly brings disasters such as hindrance, mourning, and crying. Therefore, it is called "White Linen". Among the five elements, only metal can cause harm to things. So, it is generally called the "Invisible Metal Killing Star". When this star is in a prosperous state, it indicates that the person is broad - minded, generous, decisive, and capable, with a clear and handsome appearance. If the person is not doomed to an early death or suffering from physical injuries, they may have diseases such as leprosy or paralysis. When this star is in a dead or declining state, the person is cruel, poisonous, with a fair - skinned or red - faced appearance, good at sweet - talking, and hiding a knife behind a smile. If it appears together with the "Official Complaint Star", it will bring unexpected official disasters; if it appears together with the "Robbery Star", it will bring unexpected death; if it appears together with the "White Tiger" and the "Sheep's Blade", it will cause heart - related and physical injuries; if it appears together with the "Noble Star" and the "Established Salary Star", the harm will be a little less. If the five elements are prosperous and there are auspicious stars to rescue, and the person is in a noble fate pattern, there will be no harm. If the person is in a low - class fate pattern and meets all kinds of inauspicious stars, the situation will be even more disastrous. It is also said that when the star is at the place where metal is born, it mainly brings diseases such as severe wind - related paralysis; when it is at the place where metal is prosperous, it mainly brings diseases such as water - swelling caused by parasites and poisoning; when it is at the place where metal is buried, it mainly brings worries such as losing children and dying a bad death. If it is accompanied by the "Three Punishments" and the "Noble Virtue Star", it indicates that the person may hold a high - ranking official position and have military power. Generally speaking, this inauspicious star is not a good sign. It is not suitable for a person's birth chart to have it. When it appears in the annual chart, it also indicates mourning, crying, being harassed by thieves, and having disputes and losses. If a child is affected by this star, they may suffer from burns or scalds; otherwise, there may be marks or scars on their body. As the classic says: "There is no greater absurdity than the punishments and harms, yet sometimes they can be auspicious; there is no greater disharmony than the clashes, yet they are not necessarily all inauspicious." This is what it means.
