Analysis of the Dingmao Hour on the Six Ji Days

六己日生时丁卯，支乾暗鬼枭虚神；
柱中有助方为福，无助难为显达人。
己日丁卯时，己以丁为印，乙为鬼，卯上明丁暗乙。若岁月中无救助倚托者，虚秀不实，有成有败。月中见辛制伏身旺者，贵；运旺，亦吉。
己丑日丁卯时，申子辰，武职。亥卯未，荣富。巳酉丑，行东北运，吉。
己卯日丁卯时，巳酉年月，制伏得宜。庚申合煞，文进大贵。子月，刑煞遇贵，主兵权或法官。地支纯印或三合木局，运行寅，混官再遇流年冲运，凶死。
己巳日丁卯时，无冲破，富贵；寅午辰年月，刑伤不利。亥月，木火运，贵。若春生透甲乙者，官煞太旺，有制化，亦贵；否则凶夭。
乙未日丁卯时，不贵则富；卯戌亥丑年月，吉。
己酉日丁卯时，九成十破，未年旺。年月通身生旺，干头有辛癸制伏丁乙者，吉。
己亥日丁卯时，秋生，偏官有制，富贵。春寿促。夏身旺，吉。冬平常。辰戌丑未月，贵。
己日卯时福自摧，求名求利总不宜；身宫但有刑克字，离乡别井走东西。
己日时逢丁卯，倒食偏官交加，酉庚辛破受波渣，思想不能通达。父母雁行难望，落花后立根芽。圆亏离祖可成家，发迹山林涧下。
Interpretation
When those born on the six days with the Heavenly Stem "Ji" have the Hour Pillar "Ding Mao", there are hidden ghosts and false gods of the Owl in the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches.
If there is support within the pillar, it brings good fortune; without support, it's difficult to become a prominent and successful person.
On the day of Ji with the time of Dingmao, Ji takes Ding as the seal and Yi as the ghost. On Mao, Ding is visible and Yi is hidden. If there is no assistance or support in the year and month pillars, one will have a false appearance of excellence and no real substance, with both success and failure. If Xin is seen in the month pillar to restrain and the body (the self element) is prosperous, one will be noble; if the luck is prosperous, it is also auspicious.
On the day of Jichou and at the hour of Dingmao, if one's birth chart has the combination of Shen, Zi, and Chen, they will have a career in the military. If it has the combination of Hai, Mao, and Wei, they will be prosperous and wealthy. If it has the combination of Si, You, and Chou, and they experience the fortune in the northeast direction, it will be auspicious.
On the day of Jǐmǎo and at the time of Dīngmǎo, if the year and month are Sì and Yǒu, the control and suppression are appropriate. When Gēngshēn combines with the inauspicious qi, one can make progress in learning and achieve great nobility. In the month of Zǐ, when encountering inauspicious qi but also noble fortune, it indicates having military power or being a judge. If the earthly branches are all yin or form a triple combination of the wood element, and when the fortune moves to Yín, with the official qi being mixed and then encountering the annual flow that conflicts with the fortune, one will die a tragic death.
On the Jisi day and Dingmao hour, if there is no break, one will be wealthy and noble. If the year, month, and day fall into the combinations of Yin, Wu, and Chen, there will be misfortunes and setbacks. In the Hai month, with the luck of Wood and Fire, one will be noble. If one is born in spring and the Heavenly Stems of Jia and Yi are revealed, the influence of official and killing qi will be too strong. If there are means to control and transform them, one will still be noble; otherwise, there will be misfortunes and an early death.
Those born at the Dingmao hour on the Yimao day will either be noble or wealthy. If they are born in years or months of Maoxu, Maohai, or Maochou, it is auspicious.
On the day of Jiyou and at the hour of Dingmao, there are nine out of ten failures, but it will be prosperous in the year of Wei. If the year and month columns indicate the prosperity of the main element of the day column, and there are Xin and Gui in the heavenly stems to control Ding and Yi, it is auspicious.
If a person is born at the Dingmao time on the Jihai day, in autumn, with the partial official being restricted, they will enjoy wealth and honor. In spring, their lifespan will be short. In summer, with a strong body, it is auspicious. In winter, it is just ordinary. If born in the months related to Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei, they will be noble.
If one is born at the Mao hour on a Ji day, fortune will decline on its own. Seeking fame and fortune is inappropriate. If there are signs of punishment and restraint in the natal chart, one will leave one's hometown and wander east and west.
If one is born on a day of oneself and at the time of Dingmao, there is an encounter between reversed food and partial official, bringing complex situations. If there are You, Geng, and Xin to break the pattern, it will lead to troubles, and one's thoughts cannot be smooth. It's hard to rely on parents and siblings. It's like a flower has fallen and then takes root. One may leave the ancestral home and start a family. One can make a fortune in the mountains and by the streams.
