Ugly and Remote, and the Salary from the Si Position

《喜忌篇》云：辛、癸日多逢丑地，不喜官星，岁时逢子巳二宫，虚名虚利。此格只有辛丑、癸丑二日，辛以丙为官，癸以戊为官，丙戊禄在巳，惟丑能破巳，柱中多逢丑地，则丙戊之禄出，辛癸遥合得官星，忌见子绊未冲，巳字填实，不过虚名虚利而已，岁运同论。辛丑日宜生秋月，癸丑日宜生冬月，柱中金水多方合此局，再见申酉，得一合住巳字，不致贵气走出为妙。无丙丁巳午，辛日之纯粹，无戊己巳午，癸日之纯粹，再无冲绊，为人淳厚，富贵双全，略见损伤，亦主富足。若生辰戌丑未月，当以杂气取用，逢卯辰申酉亥时，亦不作此格。如辛日生丙寅、丙午、丙戌月，只以官星论，如生甲寅，以木取火，可用财官。癸日土多，以官煞论，见癸亥时，以拱禄论，生金旺月，以印绶论，生火旺月，以财星论，如生甲寅月，伤官不妨，宜行官星得地及身旺运，多贵。此格与辛亥、癸亥飞天禄马大同。经云：辛癸日合禄，平生富有馀。

诗曰：

辛日癸日多逢丑，名为遥巳合官星，莫言不喜官星旺，谁信官来反有成。

又：

辛丑癸丑二日乾，丑能破巳巳藏官，丑字多见方为妙，不宜子字住中间。

又：

辛癸无官众丑遥，巳中丙戊禄来朝，支元喜见酉申合，入格应须贵禄饶；辛忌丙丁兼巳午，癸嫌戊己马蛇枭，子来绊丑心真懒，格局如轻福亦消。

Interpretation

The "Xiji Pian" states: "For those born on Xin or Gui days and often having the Chou position in their birth charts, they don't like the official star. If there are Zi and Si positions in the year and month pillars, it only brings false fame and illusory profit." This pattern only applies to the Xin Chou and Gui Chou days. For Xin, Bing is the official star; for Gui, Wu is the official star. The prosperous positions of Bing and Wu are in Si. Only Chou can break Si. If there are many Chou positions in the chart, the prosperous positions of Bing and Wu are affected. Xin and Gui remotely combine to get the official star, but they are afraid of the interference of Zi and the clash of Wei. When the Si character is filled in, it only results in false fame and illusory profit. The same principle applies to the annual and monthly luck cycles. Those born on Xin Chou days are better off being born in the autumn months, and those born on Gui Chou days are better off being born in the winter months. If there is a lot of Metal and Water in the chart, it conforms to this pattern. If there are also Shen and You, and one of them can combine with the Si character to prevent the noble qi from dissipating, it is the best. Without Bing, Ding, Si, and Wu, the Xin day is pure; without Wu, Ji, Si, and Wu, the Gui day is pure. If there are no clashes or interferences, the person is honest and can have both wealth and honor. Even if there are slight damages, the person can still be wealthy. If born in the Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei months, the mixed qi should be taken into account. If born at the Mao, Chen, Shen, You, or Hai hours, this pattern does not apply. For example, if a person is born on a Xin day in the Bing Yin, Bing Wu, or Bing Xu months, it should be regarded as having the official star. If born in the Jia Yin month, since Wood generates Fire, the wealth and official star can be used. For those born on a Gui day with a lot of Earth, it should be regarded as having the official and killing stars. If born at the Gui Hai hour, it can be regarded as having the arched prosperous position. If born in the Metal - prosperous months, it should be regarded as having the seal star; if born in the Fire - prosperous months, it should be regarded as having the wealth star. If born in the Jia Yin month, the presence of the damaging officer star is acceptable. It is advisable to have the official star in a favorable position and the body qi (personal qi) in a prosperous state in the luck cycle, which often leads to nobility. This pattern is quite similar to the Fei Tian Lu Ma pattern of Xin Hai and Gui Hai days. As the classic says: "Those born on Xin and Gui days with the combined prosperous position are wealthy throughout their lives."

The poem says:

When the Xin or Gui days often coincide with the Chou day, it's called the remote combination with the official star in the Si position. Don't say you don't like the strong official star. Who would believe that the arrival of the official star can actually bring success?

It's favorable to see the combination of the eighth and ninth branches in the earthly branches. Those who fit this pattern will surely be blessed with high status and wealth. Xin is afraid of Bing, Ding and the fourth and seventh branches; Gui dislikes Wu, Ji, the seventh branch and the owl star. When the first branch restricts the ugly one, one will be really lazy - hearted. If the pattern is not strong, the good fortune will also fade away.
