The Complementary Relationship between Metal and Fire

Original Text

Interpretation

The scripture says: "Without being tempered by fire, it's difficult to turn gold into a useful tool." For example, in the case of the Bingsi, Xinsi, Gengwu, and Xinsi years. Geng is seated on Wu, entering the territory of the Fire element, which is a place of official nobility. It is auspicious to be born in the fourth month. With two Xins in the Heavenly Stems being in a comparable state, and the Earthly Branches being Si and Wu, which are purely of the Fire element, the Fire is prosperous when the Metal is born, and both elements have their own qi, so it indicates nobility. It also says: "When there is Metal as an inauspicious element without any imbalance, Metal needs Fire, and when the Metal and Fire are in a proper state. If there are two Fires and two Metals, each in a state of prosperity and strength, it is even more wonderful."
