地支取七位为冲,犹天干取七位为煞之义。如子午对冲,子至午七数,甲逢庚为煞,甲至庚七数。数中六则合,七则过,故相冲击为煞也。相冲者,十二支战击之神,大概为凶。然有为福之甚者,乃冲处相生。如辛巳金见癸亥水之类,主声望播流,高明出众,科甲峥嵘;若冲处相克,如壬申金见庚寅木之类,主人神情貌俊,襟韵脱俗,轩昂洒落,上视仰面而行;若生旺主人神刚貌肃胆气壮,倜傥敢为多成败;死绝则寒酸鄙薄,形容乖劣,动招凶辱,多夭折。若戌丑辰未四库所藏为十干财官、印绶等物,尤喜冲激;若寅申巳亥金,子午卯酉金,反成大格,不以冲击论。若同类相冲,如甲子见甲午,己卯见己酉之类,主多破祖业,平生心不闲,刚明有断,假令禄高名重,终有一失。
凡遇一七煞,命吉则冲发,命凶则为祸。如祸聚之地有他位来冲,谓之破祸成福;如福聚之地他位来冲,则破福成祸;如犯空亡,有他位来冲,亦为破祸成福,年月日时值此,必作食禄之人。若月冲日时,时冲年,名仇,主与人无恩,多得憎嫌,或长病,或暴卒;带劫煞、亡神相冲,主犯刑。若在死绝处,主病多疾。带贵煞入局,有秀气科名者,多入台谏,终恶疾而死;带元辰、空亡相冲,不下贱则贫寒。
沈芝云:「破印破财并破禄,破马少曾为我福;更加破合日时冲,疾非手足即头目。破印者,如木人带癸未,内有乙丑金之类;破财者,如金人以寅卯为财、见申酉之类;破禄者,如甲禄在寅见申字之类;破马者,如马在巳见亥字之类;破合者,乃干合被支破,如甲午人见己亥,或见巳字,即破己亥,逢子破甲午合之类。诗云:相冲还是自相生,集来帝座位无刑;更得华盖兼权煞,为官清显统雄兵。」
可见冲破有吉有凶,不可概论。
Interpretation

If it is in a state of decline and extinction, it makes a person shabby and vulgar, with an unpleasant appearance, often incurring bad luck and humiliation, and prone to premature death. If the contents stored in the four reservoirs of Xu, Chou, Chen, and Wei are the wealth, official positions, seals, etc. of the ten Heavenly Stems, they especially welcome the impact. If it is about the clashes among Yin, Shen, Si, and Hai metals, or Zi, Wu, Mao, and You metals, it can form a great pattern and is not regarded as a simple clash. If it is a clash between the same - type elements, such as Jia Zi meeting Jia Wu, Ji Mao meeting Ji You, it usually leads to the destruction of ancestral properties. One will be restless in life, being resolute and decisive. Even if one has a high salary and a good reputation, there will eventually be a setback.

Shen Zhiyun said, "When there is a break in the seal, wealth, and emolument, and a break in the horse, the horse has rarely brought me good fortune. Moreover, if there is a break in the combination and a clash in the day and hour, the illness will affect either the hands and feet or the head. A break in the seal means, for example, for a person of the wood element with Guinei in their bazi, and there is Yichou metal within it. A break in wealth means, for example, for a person of the metal element who takes Yin and Mao as wealth, but encounters Shen and You. A break in emolument means, for example, for Jia whose emolument is at Yin but encounters the character Shen. A break in the horse means, for example, when the horse is at Si but encounters the character Hai. A break in the combination means that the heavenly stem combination is broken by the earthly branch. For example, for a person born in the year of Jiawu, when they encounter Jihai, or the character Si, it breaks the Jihai combination; when they meet Zi, it breaks the Jiawu combination. There is a poem that goes: 'Even in clashes, there is still self - generation. When gathered at the imperial seat, there is no punishment. If one also has the lucky star of Huagai and the powerful evil star, they will be an upright official leading a mighty army.'"
It can be seen that breaking through may bring either good or bad fortune, and it cannot be generalized.
