Resurrecting with Borrowed Vitality

Original Text

五行自死绝而有救递相还者。如木绝在申,而遇甲申;金绝在寅,而遇戊寅之类。最吉,有福神次之,无则下。

Interpretation

When the Five Elements are in the states of death and extinction but have remedies and are mutually restored. For example, Wood is extinct in the Shen position, but meets Jiashen; Metal is extinct in the Yin position, but meets Wuyin, and so on. This is the most auspicious situation. It is followed by the situation where there are auspicious deities. If neither of these conditions is met, it is of a lower level.
