Wealth Flourishes to Generate Officialdom

Original Text

Interpretation

According to "Jishan Pian": "Being both wealthy and noble must be due to the prosperous wealth generating the official. Since wealth has the principle of generating the official, if wealth is taken as the useful element, the official should not appear. If the official appears, it becomes the pattern of wealth and official. If there are damaging and devouring elements in the Bazi, even with abundant wealth, it cannot generate the official. For example, for the Earthly Branches of Wu and Ji, Hai and Zi, Ren and Gui are regarded as wealth, and Yin and Mao, Jia and Yi are regarded as the official. If one is born in the Renzi or Guihai month and there are no Yin, Mao, Jia, and Yi in the four pillars, it is a situation where prosperous wealth generates the official. In such a natal chart, one can achieve nobility through wealth, such as obtaining a title by donating grains or becoming a consort of a princess. If the wealth in the monthly pillar is not damaged or restricted, it also indicates passing the imperial examinations. However, if Geng and Xin appear, the wealth cannot generate the official, and this pattern does not apply."
