Analysis of the Jihaishi (Hour of the Pig) on the Six Geng Days

Original Text

六辛日生时己亥,背禄剥官反破伤;

Interpretation

When those born on the six Xin days have the hour of Ji-hai, they will lose their official positions and suffer setbacks as if their good fortune in officialdom is reversed and damaged.

If one has the so - called "flying celestial beings, good fortune, and noble status" in fortune - telling terms, but fails to seize the right time and lacks proper combinations, all efforts will be in vain.

On a Xin day and in the Jihai hour, there is a combination of flying emolument and formation. Xin takes Bing as the official star. There is prosperous Ren in the Hai position which damages Bing, so the official star loses its vitality. If it is in the Hai month or on a Hai day, the Bing fire in the Si is rushed out by Hai to serve as the official star. If there is a combination of Xin and You or Xin and Chou, it indicates nobility; for other combinations of Xin, there is no such combination. If it doesn't conform to the qi of the month and has no support, it indicates poverty; if it has support, it is auspicious.

If a person is born in the Jihai hour on the Xin Chou day, and the birth month is among Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei, Yin, or Mao, it is regarded as having the Flying Heavenly Officials and Wealthy Horses pattern, which indicates nobility. If born in the Wei month and experiences the Jin (Metal) and Shui (Water) luck periods, they will hold high - ranking official positions and gain great honor.

On the Xinmao day and Jihai hour, if one is born in the Yin, Mao, Hai, or Wei months, wealth is prosperous and can generate official luck, and one will have good fortune throughout life. If born in the years or months with Si, You, Ding, one will be noble.

On the day of Xin Si and at the time of Ji Hai, when the Si character is filled, it does not fall into the Flying Sky pattern. It is regarded as an official seal situation, indicating that one's parents will spare no effort to support them before they achieve wealth and honor.

On the Xinwei day and Jihai hour, it indicates nobility. In the months of Hai, Mao, Wei, and Yin, since metal can overcome wood, it means that abundant wealth gives rise to official positions, bringing fame, fortune, and nobility. In the years and months of Si and Wu, there will be wealth and honor. If born in autumn and the Bing element is revealed, it is also auspicious.

On the Xinyou day and Jihai hour, if the earthly branches are Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei, representing mixed qi of wealth and official positions, it is auspicious. If all the earthly branches are Hai, which clashes with the Bing fire in the Si branch and thus forms an official position, it indicates nobility.

On the Xinhai day and Jihai hour, if there are more Hai characters in the year and month columns, it indicates the pattern of "Flying Heavenly Salary and Horse". The person will hold a third - or fourth - rank official position, which is a noble status; if in a military position, they can reach the highest rank; they may even be made a marquis or earl. If there are Yin or Si characters, which fill and solidify the pattern, the fortune will be reduced. If the year and month columns have Zi and Chen, it is also auspicious.

On a Xin day with the Heavenly Stem and the Jihai hour, the Owl God and the Backing of Salary bring disasters. Without clashes, the fortune is not significant, and the soaring of the Salary Horse makes it truly special. When it's a Xin day and the hour is Jihai, the Owl God and the Backing of Salary are in the same palace. It's like a crescent moon blocked by clouds and dragons. The Ren, Si, Jia, and Yin are of no use. The relationship between parents is completely discordant; it's like a withered flower bearing fruit, needing protection from the wind. If there are no clashes, breakages, or punishments, the soaring Salary Horse brings great fortune.
