Analysis of the Jisi Hour on Six Ji Days
Original Text
六己日生时己巳,金神与火两相和;
Interpretation
On the six days when the Heavenly Stem is Ji, if the birth time is the Jisi hour, the Metal Deity and Fire are in harmony.
If you don't understand the "qi" of the moon, you'll view things as usual; Once you understand the "qi" of the moon, you'll succeed in the imperial examinations.
On the day of Ji and at the time of Jisi, there is a combination of metal and fire. Ji takes Bing as the seal, and there is Bing in Si, which is strong and prosperous. Jisi is also the God of Metal, sitting in the position of fire, thus forming a combination. If it is in a month with the qi of fire and there is no wealth star in the four pillars to break the seal, and there is no encounter with wealth, one will gain extraordinary fortune. If it is not in a month with the appropriate qi, or if one is born in winter, it will be just a false show without substance. If not in the appropriate situation but getting the southern fortune, it is also auspicious.
On the day of Jichou and at the time of Jisi, if it is the Chen month and one's fortune lies in the northwest, one will be noble. If it is the Wu or Wei month when the fire element is strong, one will be extremely noble. If the combination involves Shen, Zi, Xu, and Si, it is also auspicious. On the day of Jimao and at the time of Jisi, it is like having a treasury of wealth in the middle of Chen, which indicates great wealth. Moreover, for Mao, Si is regarded as the post - horse. Considering the two Ji together, it is called sitting on the horse. If one is born in the Wu month, having both the salary (a symbol of good fortune) and the post - horse, it is an especially noble fate. In the Hai month, wealth is in a prosperous position and the official element meets its birth stage. In the Si month, when the Metal God meets fire, all these indicate great nobility.
On the day and at the hour of Jisi, if it's in the year and month with the Wu element, one will have great authority and high reputation. In the spring months, one's children will be filial and one's wife will be virtuous. In autumn and winter, the situation is ordinary, with nobility but not prominently shown. For those born in the Chen or Xu years, they will have wealth, seals, official positions and food fortunes; for those born in the Shen year, the adverse officer will generate wealth. All these are regarded as auspicious signs.
On the day of Jǐwèi and at the time of Jǐsì, it is the pattern of Gonglu (arch - shaped prosperous official salary). If there are no Yangren (a kind of inauspicious configuration in traditional Chinese fortune - telling) and Qisha (a kind of inauspicious configuration), and the character Wǔ fills the pattern without violating the empty and lost positions, it indicates that the person will be noble and prominent. If the year and month are Hài, Chǒu, Chén, or Shēn, and the person experiences the east - bound fortune, they will reach the highest positions in both civil and military fields. This pattern is not as good as those of Dīngsì and Dīngwèi, because Dīng has its proper prosperous official salary, and Sì is the place where it has a parasitic prosperous official salary.
On the day of Jiyou and at the time of Jisi, if one is born in summer, the "Golden God" enters the "Fire Region", which indicates nobility and prominence. The same applies to the annual fortune and the luck cycle as mentioned before.
If one is born in the Yichou hour on the Jihai day, and the birth season is summer, they will have a great deal of wealth and live a carefree and imposing life. If born in winter, their life will be ordinary. If born in the Xuyue month and have a fortune in the southeast direction, they may become a national teacher or hold a high - ranking official position. If born in the Yinyue month, they will also achieve a noble status.
On a day of Ji, when it coincides with the time of Jisi, it's proper for the Metal God to turn prosperous. Moving towards the south in the fortune, wealth and official positions will be prominent; even in the east of Yin and Mao, it's rather strict. When on a day of Ji, the time is Jisi, and one is born in summer with the Fire of Bing as the Metal God. Without encountering Xu, Hai, Geng and Shen, and without any break, fame will be well - responded. One's parents will be either prosperous or in decline. With punishments and emptiness, one's career will be sluggish. To know when one will become prominent and change the family's situation, it's when the fortune is prosperous in the south where the Fire is strong.
