Right and Wrong
Original Text
Interpretation
If one gets the combination of Hai, Mao, and Wei on the day of Jia or Yi, there must be the character Hai in the Bazi columns with an Indirect Resource (Yin) for it to meet the criteria of the pattern. If there is no Hai but only Mao, it is just the fundamental qi of Wood. In this case, the presence of Metal and Earth is considered noble. If there is neither Hai nor Metal and Earth, then the Wood will not be lush and fruitful, and it's hard to say that the person will be noble. For example, if it's the day of Jia Yin with Hai, and there is Ding Mao (Rob Wealth, Yang Blade, and Hurting Officer) in the hour column, although the person may be noble, it doesn't fully meet the requirements of the pattern.
The poem goes:
Those born on the days of Jia or Yi in the months of Hai, Mao, or Wei, if the situation forms a complete straight - line combination, will surely be honored and noble. If there is no Hai in the eight - character columns, with the presence of Earth and Metal, they are naturally born into a blessed land.
It is also said:
In "San Ming Tong Hui", Volume 6: For those born under the Heavenly Stems Jia and Yi in the earthly branches Yin, Mao, and Chen, it is also known as a situation worthy of evaluation in terms of longevity and good fortune. When the combination of Hai, Mao, and Wei is complete, the influence of the White Emperor (a symbolic concept) is not favorable. If one encounters the position of Kan (a trigram in the Book of Changes, representing a certain situation), they will surely achieve honor in life.
