Both Wealth and Official Position Are Excellent
Original Text
Interpretation
According to "Jishan Pian": When the Stem Ren is at the Wu position in the Six Ren system, it is called "the same place of salary and horse". When the Stem Gui sits facing the Si palace, it means both wealth and official positions are excellent. Here, salary is equivalent to official position, and wealth is equivalent to horse. These two sentences convey the same meaning. For Ren, Ding fire represents wealth and horse, and Ji earth represents official salary, and both have their prosperity at Wu. For Gui, Bing fire is the proper wealth, and Wu earth is the proper official position, and both have their prosperity at Si. In a person's fate, it is rare to have the combination of salary, horse, wealth, and official position all together. Moreover, when they are located under the sitting branch, it is considered precious. It is favorable if one is born in autumn when metal is prosperous, and wood is in its dead state, so wood cannot overcome earth, thus avoiding harm. If there is strong wood energy like Yin and Mao, it may seem promising but end up fruitless. If one is born in winter when the water element (Xuanwu) is in power, they can be as noble as a prince or a marquis. If there are wealth and official positions in the Bazi columns and one is born on these two days, it is even better. For example, in the Bazi of Ji Chou, Ding Mao, Ren Wu, and Gui Mao, Ding and Ji are revealed in the year and month columns, and they return to the prosperity of the day stem, which conforms to this principle and indicates great nobility. As "Luoluzipu" says: When salary and horse are in the same place, one can hold high - ranking positions like the Three Councillors or the Eight Ministers. It also says: Every time we see a noble person enjoying his salary, it is mostly because of the situation of "the same place of salary and horse". The days of Jia Xu, Yi Chou, Yi Si, Bing Shen, Ding Chou, Wu Chen, Ji Hai, Geng Yin, Xin Wei, Ren Xu, and Gui Wei have their own hidden wealth and official positions within the earthly branches, which also means "the same place of salary and horse". However, the classic only selects the days of Ren Wu and Gui Si because Ren and Gui sit on proper wealth and proper official positions, while for the others, they may be either partial or proper, not pure. By analogy, for the days of Jia Xu and Yi Chou, it is favorable to be born in the months of metal and earth for wealth and nobility, but the metal energy should not be too strong, otherwise, it may harm the body and steal the vital energy. If there is no official nobility, one will surely gain wealth. For the days of Bing Shen and Ding Chou, being born in the months of metal and wood brings nobility, but it is only taboo for too much earth energy. If the earth combines to overcome the official position, it mainly leads to wealth. For the day of Ji Hai, it is suitable to be born in the four seasons' months, or having support and mutual generation is auspicious. For the day of Geng Yin, it is favorable to see fire, and it is suitable to be born after the Winter Solstice when the Yang energy begins to rise and fire is prosperous, which indicates nobility. If the metal is strong and the fire is powerful, it can forge a sharp weapon. Being born in autumn and encountering fire is especially good. For example, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty had the Bazi of Bing Wu, Geng Zi, Ren Wu, and Bing Wu. For the Ren day, being born in the Zi month makes the body strong, which stirs up the Bing character in the year stem. Two Bings are in the same place, and they drive away the Geng (the Owl - eater) in the day stem. Since Geng is attacked and overcome, it moves to the Wu of the day branch. The Bing in the hour stem moves to the Zi of the month branch. Ren is the son of Geng, and it moves to the Wu of the hour stem, transforming into Bing Wu, Bing Zi, Geng Wu, and Ren Wu, all of which represent "the same place of salary and horse", and also the balance of water and fire, also known as "the exchange in the Six Ren system", so it indicates great nobility. Generally speaking, for a person with great nobility, two or three patterns in the Bazi should be considered comprehensively. One can make the best of all situations and should not think that multiple patterns mean complexity, as the ancient theory suggests. An ancient poem says: When salary and horse are in the same place without being overcome or seized, and wealth and official position co - exist, it is extremely glorious. Holding high - ranking positions like the Three Councillors or the Eight Ministers is truly noble. If there is strong overcoming or seizing, it is not beneficial for fame and fortune.
