Kui Gang
Original Text
Interpretation
This pattern has four days: Gengchen, Renchen, Wuxu, and Gengxu. Chen is the Heavenly Gang, and Xu is the River Kui. They are the places where yin and yang are extinguished, hence the name. Only the Jia stem is excluded because it is at the head of Qian. In Chen, it is the Azure Dragon, and in Wu, it is the Hall of Salary, with good fortune and no misfortune. For this pattern, there must be repeated overlapping and reunion of the day positions, and those with many added and overlapping elements are considered precious with the latent being honored. The classic says: When the Heavenly Gang and River Kui gather, the blessings are extraordinary. It means that the person is intelligent in character, outstanding in writing, decisive in dealing with affairs, and in power and fond of meting out punishment. The ode says: Those with the Heavenly Gang and River Kui are strict in nature and have integrity, and are intelligent. When the luck is prosperous in one's own element, there will be all kinds of blessings. Once wealth and official positions appear, disasters will come immediately, especially if there are also punishments and evil stars. If the day position stands alone and there are repeated punishments, conflicts, and restraints, the person must be a villain, constantly punished, extremely poor. When the luck reaches the prosperous place of wealth and official positions, strange disasters should be guarded against. If there are wealth, official positions, seals, and resource elements in the monthly order and the day master is in a single position, then wealth, official positions, seals, and resource elements are used as the key factors. Although there may be slight setbacks, as long as wealth, official positions, seals, and resource elements are in proper positions, there will be no great harm. One must carefully consider the monthly order and take what should be taken, not being restricted by minor details. It is also said that for the two days of Gengxu and Gengchen, if there are no official stars, but the Heavenly Gang and River Kui overlap with favorable conditions, the person will be richer than famous. But once wealth appears, the pattern will not hold. If the annual and monthly luck reaches the prosperous place of wealth again, the disaster will be unpredictable. For those born on the Gengchen day in the ninth month, although there is a conflict between Chen and Xu, if the luck moves towards the south and there is fire in the chart, it can also be said to be noble. For those born on the Gengxu day in the third month, even if there are official stars and seal elements, they are not used. This is because for Geng, the fire in Xu is the official treasury, Wutu is the seal, and the Guishui in Chen is the hurting officer, which also drains the energy of Geng, so the pattern is not formed. For those born on the Wuxu day, without wealth, they will not be noble and it is not suitable to see official stars. If the Heavenly Gang and River Kui overlap with favorable conditions, they will have both wealth and honor. Those born on the Renchen day are afraid of seeing wealth and official positions, and greatly prefer seal elements, while disliking wealth and killing elements, and the same applies to the annual and monthly luck. It is also said that Chen is the water reservoir and belongs to the Heavenly Gang, and Xu is the fire reservoir and belongs to the Earth Kui. When Chen and Xu meet, it is the clash between heaven and earth. The "General Theory of Ziping" says: When one's body encounters the Heavenly Gang and Earth Kui, if weak, one will be extremely poor; if strong, one will be extremely noble and prominent.
The poem goes:
Ren Chen, Geng Xu, and Geng Chen, along with Wu Xu, are the four gods of Kui Gang. If there are no encounters with wealth, official positions, punishments, and malevolent stars, and one's body is in a prosperous position, they will be honored in the marital relationship.
Moreover:
Among the four Kui Gang days, they stand out the most. When they appear repeatedly, one will hold great power. For Gengxu and Gengchen, they fear the prominence of official positions; for Wuxu and Renchen, they dread the connection with wealth.
Moreover:
In the Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny), when the Kui Gang days appear frequently, noble fortunes gather here in the morning. If the Day Master is alone and severely clashed and restricted, with wealth and official positions openly revealed, endless disasters will ensue.
According to this pattern, both use Chen (the 5th Earthly Branch) and Xu (the 11th Earthly Branch). Only Tian Qian (Heavenly Stems) is a bit different. Among them, on the two days of Geng Chen, it is both called "Day of Virtue" and "Kui Gang". When discussing their patterns, they are completely different and there is no need to be rigid in the discussion. For example, for Zhang Shi, the official: Geng Wu, Ding Hai, Wu Xu, Bing Chen; for Liu Dashou, the vice - minister: Ding Hai, Gui Chou, Geng Xu, Wu Yin. In these two horoscopes with Kui Gang days, only wealth, official position and seal (in the context of Chinese fortune - telling) should be considered.
