此格乃辛癸日见丑寅，取寅刑、丑合，刑合出巳中丙戊为辛癸官星，更得一酉字合贵为妙，有刑无合，禄不能住，柱见申巳，即不入格。如壬戌、辛亥、辛丑、庚寅，甲戌、辛未、癸丑、甲寅，二命合格为贵。诗曰：辛癸日生岁月时，若逢寅丑便为奇，寅刑丑合巳中禄，此是功名福贵基。

Interpretation

This pattern refers to the situations where the day stems are Xin and Gui and the earthly branches in the year, month, or hour columns are Chou and Yin. We take advantage of the mutual punishment between Yin and the mutual combination of Chou. Through this punishment and combination, Bing and Wu in Si are brought out as the official stars for Xin and Gui. It is even better if there is also a You character for combination to signify nobility. If there is only punishment but no combination, the good fortune (represented by the official stars) cannot be retained. If Shen or Si appears in the eight - character chart, it does not belong to this pattern. For example, in the eight - character combinations of Renxu, Xinhai, Xinchou, Gengyin and Jiaxu, Xinwei, Guichou, Jiayin, these two cases meet the requirements of this pattern and indicate nobility. There is a poem saying: When Xin and Gui are the day stems in the year, month, and hour, it is quite remarkable if they encounter Yin and Chou. The punishment of Yin and combination of Chou bring out the good fortune in Si. This is the foundation for fame, fortune, and nobility.
