"Precious in the Day"

Original Text

Interpretation

Those with the "Noble Day" are those whose day pillars sit on the Heavenly Virtue Star. There are only four days in this pattern: Ding You, Ding Hai, Gui Si, and Gui Mao. It is said that people born on these days are pure - hearted, benevolent, good - looking, and not arrogant. The noble qi gathers on the day pillar. If there are also wealth, food - gods, and seals to assist, the noble qi will bring good fortune. They prefer to have the three - harmony and six - harmony combinations with the tomb palaces. When they encounter the fortune of noble people and prosperous wealth, they will gain good fortune. It is a great taboo to have punishments, clashes, breaks, harms, and voids. If these taboos appear again in the fortune - cycle and are combined with the current year's stem - branch, and especially when Kui Gang appears, it will surely lead to poverty and an early death. However, if other auspicious patterns are formed, this rule does not apply. The "Noble Day" should be distinguished between day and night. For those born during the day, Gui Mao and Ding Hai are preferred; for those born at night, Gui Si and Ding You are preferred. It is not appropriate if the pattern does not match the time of birth.

The scripture says: A noble person is a title for someone kind - hearted and amiable, and a name for one with respected virtues. Meeting with wealth, official positions, seals, and nourishment is auspicious; encountering evil stars, blades, clashes, and punishments is inauspicious. If one's fortune meets with Kui - Gang, the harm will not be slight.

An ancient song goes:

If the Heavenly Stem of one's birthday sits on an auspicious Earthly Branch, but if the Kui Gang appears, fortune won't be good. Meeting the monthly Lu in the year is not a cause for joy. When the noble position on the day is encountered again, it's extremely strange.

Moreover:

If one is born with the Sun in the positions of De and Gui, and the main character is kind - hearted. When the Wealth, Officer, and Seal stars are encountered, there will be fortune and prosperity. However, if Punishment, Conflict, Evil, and Blade stars appear, the good fortune will turn into misfortune, and it is irresistible.

Moreover:

When the Heavenly Stem Gui is in conjunction with the signs of Snake and Rabbit, it indicates extraordinary talent. Similarly, when Ding aligns with the signs of Pig and Rooster, the same principle applies. One must be cautious of the Heavenly Stems Kui and Gang, differentiating between day and night, and also guard against the harm caused by punishment and conflict, which may lead to a loss of respect. When one's fortune is in a favorable conjunction, one will surely gain a good reputation. However, if one's destiny is marked by the Empty and Lost stars, misfortune is bound to follow. Those who are noble and dignified, and uphold great virtue, will face no doubt of misfortune if they encounter the aforementioned warnings.
